An autograph letter from Monsieur Robert Schmit, dated April 3, 1958, will be given to the purchaser. It is in reply to a letter sent to him by Mr. Claude Meyer on April 1, 1958: "I acknowledge receipt of your kind letter of current 1st, informing me of the watercolor by E. Boudin that you own. I take good note of these indications and thank you for them." Enclosed is a certificate from Monsieur Jean Le Chapelin, dated February 22, 1958, and two receipts, on the letterheads of the Direction des Musées de France and the Réunion des Musées Nationaux, relating to the loan of the work.
