PLANISPHERIC ASTROLABE
in silver-plated metal. It consists of a mother
finely engraved with a zodiac and flowers
with the apocryphal date 1192 on the bottom
(corresponding to the European year of 1778),
four engraved spandrels on each side
and a spider. Triangular throne engraved
of a rich floral decoration and on the back,
with a suspension ring. Mother's
engraved with a zodiac and epigraphic
inscriptions. Horse and alidade.
Probably Morocco, 19th century.
