PROVENANCE
According to a label on the reverse: possibly the collection of Jules Vandenpeereboom (1843-1917), a Belgian collector and politician from Courtrai| acquired at his sale in Courtrai (Belgium) in 1920, then by descent to the present day.
The composition of the Adoration of the Magi echoes that of the central panel of the Magi Triptych, now in the Church of St. Martin in Cologne.
