Beautiful letter from Lafayette to the Liberator Simon Bolivar.
Lafayette recommends M. FRANCINE, citizen of the United States and son of a Frenchman, to the "President Liberator": "M. Francine's family, very interesting for its misfortunes and its good reputation, is recommended to me by such respectable friends, and is supported by testimonies of such weight that I thought I should allow myself the few words of introduction to the illustrious chief magistrate, to whom he is going to submit claims of high importance for his family and for himself. I would also like to take this opportunity, President Liberator, to offer His Excellency the homage of my attachment and respect.
