BARTOK Béla (1881-1945).
L.A.S. "Bartók Béla", Budapest August 25, 1934, to Mrs. Stefánia
FISCHER| 1 1/2 oblong in-8 pages| in Hungarian.
Before leaving piano teaching to devote himself to folk melodies.
To his former pupil Mrs. Stefánia Fischer, née Szalay, now a piano teacher, concerning her daughter's piano studies,
Stefánia Fischer. Stefi indicated last year that she would not be enrolling on the teacher training course, but was getting married. To change course, you would need the consent of the former teacher (this was the case, for example, with László Gergely).

This is almost certain, but the ministerial decision has not yet been taken.
He doesn't know what to advise. The obligation concerning private education is truly scandalous. It was impossible to talk about it with HUBAY [director of the Academy until 1934], but Bartok spoke about it with DOHNÁNYI [the new director], without mentioning the name of his correspondent...
