He has received the list of objects deposited with the Portiers: "it must be right except that there is a woman's study that I had given to clean". He will see this on his return to Paris: "I would like nothing better than to exchange the copy of Made Berthe MORISOT, a superb copy of Corot". The weather has been very cold for the past few days: "I'm working all the same. The exhibition opened on Saturday, and it's very good, with some not too bad things. MONET has two very fine works, we're opposite each other, I have a market or rather the Dieppe fair and a little snow effect from the Louvre which is doing very well". Berlin art critic Elias
Berlin "finds my designs here very beautiful". Their son Rodolphe has "started to work, which is a sign that things are getting better, but the weather is very changeable, so it's best to work outside"...
