I had intended to do landscapes this spring, but it's been horrible, and when the weather is bad here, it's disastrous"... March 23, 1929. He has "bought a bungalow in Le Cannet. [...] It has beautiful trees, superb olive trees and hundred-year-old orange trees". He has had work done on it and will have to sell it to pay the contractors... Etc.
