CARNET de croquis. In-12 oblong (7 x 11 cm.) of 48 ff.
Original binding (a little worn) in long-grained green half-maroquin, with mottled paper boards.
Several dozen sketches and drawings, more or less extensive, in pencil or pen.
Portraits, notes, addresses of models, thoughts of writers and artists: "Poussin once asked for a modest border as a favor for one of his masterpieces| today, pitiful paintings strut around in dazzling frames. - What a contrast!"
Numerous indications of the royal family's toilettes:
Madame Victoire, Madame Marie-Thérèse d'Angoulême, Madame
Adélaïde, etc. There's also mention of a steamboat trip, a collection of insects, etc.
