Presented at the 1962 London Motor Show, the Lotus Elan has all the genes
Colin Chapman's genes| light and agile, it marked the beginning
the start of an industrial success story for Lotus.
Purchased new by a Geneva cook, it was a genuine left-hand drive
left-hand drive, initially in green. According to its
number, this was the last Lotus S1 to be built. It
imported into France in 1972 and has had 4 owners since
since 1964. Acquired in 2021 by its current owner, it has since undergone
undergone extensive mechanical work.
It was completely dismantled for restoration in the mid
in the mid-1990s, and a photo file bears witness to the work
chassis and running gear. It should be noted that

Maintained since 2022 by Lotus specialist Atelier Rufils,
the engine and Twin Cam cylinder head have undergone a complete
