"A unique configuration with a strong character
"A unique configuration with a strong character"
Originally produced in May 1938 as a saloon,
our car was modified after the war. Its hybrid bodywork
has a Simca 8 front end and chassis, a Simca 8 interior,
doors and soft top from a Simca 5, while the rear section is unique
made to measure by a sheet metal worker.
Roger Césure prepared Simca engines in his workshop
in Neuilly-sur-Seine. This meant that bare blocks from the factory
received his modifications. Alongside his garage, he raced
raced Bugatti T 37s and collaborated in the creation of competition
competition cars.
The engine of our example was optimized by Césure. For example
carburetor, a specific manifold and a cylinder head with
manifold and a cylinder head with ground intake and exhaust
intake and exhaust ports.
Mr Arnaud bought this car by chance in 1975. He then
to determine its origin.
Various phases of restoration followed to achieve the
result we know today.
He drove the car some 40,000 km, and at its wheel
we discovered a surprisingly dynamic car,
and fun to drive, with a remarkable engine sound.
