Gilded lacquered wood statue of Amida Buddha
The Buddha seated in padmasama on a lotiform base, resting on a high three-tiered stand, supported by a Buddhist lion, itself reclining on a hexagonal base carved with stylized clouds. He is depicted in meditation, hands in mida-no-join, dressed in a simple monastic robe covering both shoulders, eyes half-closed, expression serene. The Buddha's body stands out against a large mandorla from which rays emanate.
