Two-leaf screen in ink and colors on silk
Depicting a geisha cradling her shamisen on the terrace of a teahouse as evening falls. She is dressed in an elegant blue-checked kimono belted by a dark obi patterned with shibori cherry blossoms. Her hair is knotted into an intricate bun with numerous pins. To the left of the composition, a small lacquer cabinet and lantern inlaid with mother-of-pearl, and a small tray holding a sake cup and pourer. With a Takaaki seal on the lower right.
