(2 bl.), havana half-maroquin with corners, spine with four raised bands adorned with gilt roulette, author and title gilt, date stamped on tail, caissons adorned with 4 cold irons, gilt fleurons and bordered with gilt fillet with small mosaic circles at corners, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved (spine faded).
Edition illustrated with a frontispiece, 9 plates and a cul-de-lampe etched by Martin van Maele. The preface is adorned with a woodcut vignette and cul-de-lampe by Eugène Dété.
Limited edition of 250 copies: one of 30 on Japon (no. 24), containing all the etchings in two states, including the pure etching.
