In-8, olive-green morocco, 5-ribbed spine, gilt author, title, place and date, each cover decorated with a mosaic of interlaced foliage and flowers, gilt fillet at the edges, morocco spine flaps decorated with gilt fillets and mosaic flowers, pink satin lining and endpapers with embroidered floral motifs, marbled paper second endpaper, gilt edges on witnesses, case [P. Ruban] (spine a little faded, crack to lower jaw along one box, slight rubbing to slipcase).
Edition illustrated with 51 color compositions by Catalan painter Pau Roig (1879-1955), including one on the cover, 17 in the text and 33 full-page. The text is illustrated with black and colored Art Nouveau ornaments by Georges Riom (1877-1969).
Limited edition of 300 copies: one of 260 on Blanchet &| Kléber vellum.
Delightful original binding signed by Pétrus Ruban, dated 1906 and in the purest Art Nouveau style.
