In-4, leaves in filled cover, bearing on the first cover page a title on a gilt background in a triangular indentation, and the second title on the 4th cover page in white around a silver circle, and in publisher's folder and slipcase (spine of folder and slipcase sunned with a few stains| some leaves yellowed).
First edition printed in an edition of 1,461 copies: one of 111 copies reprinted in square in-4° format, on BFK Rives vellum (no. 62), the only ones to include Giacometti's diptych and Duchamp's folding "La pendule de profil".
Giacometti's signature on the verso of his etching, and Marcel Duchamp's signature on his folding. Publisher's signature on the justification.
A precious gift from the publisher to the psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan (1901-1981), with this handsome autograph letter: "à Jacques Lacan / qui a vu le double / de la double vue".
