Illustrated with 40 color lithographs. For the first volume, the artists are: Brayer, Brianchon, Buffet, Caillard, Carzou, Chapelain-Midy, Desnoyer, Léonor Fini, Fontanarosa, Foujita, Goerg, de Nobili, Oudot, Picart le Doux, Planson, Terechkovitch, Touchagues, Vertes, Villon and Waroquier. For the second volume: Yves Alix, Calder, Cassandre, Cavaillès, Clavé, Marianne Clouzot, Paul Colin, Coutaud, Salvador Dali, H. David, Dunoyer de Segonzac, V. Hugo, F. Labisse, J. Lagrange, A. For the 2nd volume: Limited edition of 440 copies: one of 50 on pur fil d'Arches (no. 57, 2nd paper after 20 japon), containing two suites of all the illustrations, one on pur fil d'Arches (without the Rohner plate), one on pur fil de Lana, a breakdown of the Cassandre hors-texte, and the autograph signatures of 20 painters on their respective hors-texts.
