Conquet, 1885. 2 volumes in-8, dark blue morocco, spines with 5 raised bands adorned with gilt dotted lines, author, title and tomaison gilt, place and date stamped on tail, richly ornamented caissons, boards framed with 5 gilt fillets, double gilt fillet on headpieces and edges, interior lace, gilt edges on witnesses, cover and spine preserved [Champs] (spines very slightly faded, minute rubbing to edges at foot.).
Edition illustrated with 12 plates, including a frontispiece, etched by J. Massard from compositions by Émile Bayard printed by Ch. Chadron aîné.
Limited edition of 500 numbered copies: one of the 150 first copies on large imperial Japanese paper (no. 53), containing a 2nd state, before the letter, of all plates except the frontispiece.
