Instructions to the engraver, on the back of two proof sheets of the orchestral score of Rheingold (The Rhine Gold).
As in the score of Les Maîtres chanteurs, he asks that the + signs for the horn part be indicated where they are, as they appear in the manuscript... "Ich bitte zu beachten dass, wie in der Partitur der Meistersinger, die zu stopfenden Noten des Hörner, mit einem + bezeichnet sind, welche Zeichen daher, wo sie sich im Manuscripte befinden, nicht übersehen werden dürfen. Aussendem wird im vorangehenden Register sich hierauf bezogen werden".
The triplet arc must be above the number 3 and not on all 3 notes, with 2 musical examples. To make himself clearer, he draws two triplets. "Die Triolen sind nicht mit einem Bogen über alle drei Noten, sondern nur mit einem kleinen Bogen über der 3 zu bezeichnen...
