Ferrari presented its latest creation at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, with the onerous task of matching the success of the 550 and 575 Maranello, and making a worthy entry into the mythical line of prancing-horse V12 front-wheel GTs. The gamble paid off and the success was immediate: the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano boasted exceptional performance, close to that of the Enzo, from which it borrowed its engine, and a breathtaking design, completely revised by the geniuses of Pininfarina. To this day, the 599 GTB is recognised as one of the brand’s best front-engined V12 GTs.
Our example was ordered from Ferrari Francorchamps by its current owner, a fine collector and connoisseur of the marque. As a man of taste, he configured the car in a very elegant shade of Rosso Fiorano with a black leather interior, Recaro Daytona seats and a large number of options: carbon ceramic brakes, carbon interior components, a Bose hi-fi system and a leather-wrapped rollover bar, to name just a few. In all, more than €30,000 worth of options brought the total price to €241,000 excluding tax!
Today, the car comes to us in perfect condition, with less than 20,000 original km. The service booklet and user manuals are still there, as are the purchase invoice and the original purchase order!
Although it has seen relatively little use in recent years, the car is still in good working order and has just undergone a diagnostic test at Ferrari Grand-Est, which is available on request.
Clutch wear is very low (10%), and carbon ceramic brake wear is also reassuring, at 20% overall... Routine maintenance will be required, however, and the Ferrari quotation is also available with the car’s file.
