The Ford Galaxie was produced from 1959 to 1967, its name a reference to the space race between Russians and Americans at the time| powered by V8 engines, it was available as a sedan, station wagon, coupé and convertible.
A copy of the purchase invoice indicates that our example was sold new in Pueblo, Colorado, its first owner kept it at least until the late 1970s, its invoice record shows that it was still in the area in the mid-1990s| M. E. found it in Australia and added it to his collection in 2005.
Its Club Sedan body was repainted in its original fawn tan color several years ago, it is in beautiful condition, with a few minor flaws visible| there are a few traces of corrosion, notably in the trunk floor.
The interior is also in very good condition, with the Fairlane 500 finish, the top of the range in 1959.
Under the hood is a 332ci V8 producing 225 hp, mated to a Cruise-O-matic automatic gearbox| a simple restart of the mechanics will be required.
