German registration title
Sold without contrôle technique
The GAZ 69 is a 4-wheel drive military vehicle developed by the Soviet Union and manufactured in the USSR, Romania and
China, with over 634,000 units produced between 1953 and 1972| it replaced the GAZ 67 designed during the Second World War, and was later replaced by the UAZ 469, which is still in use today.
All civilian models had to meet the requirements of the army, in the event of requisition: with two seats at the front and rear bench seats, it could carry up to 8 passengers.
Our example is an export version (M), which was probably used in East Germany| Mr E. bought it in 2007 in Wittenberge, a town on the other side of the Iron Curtain before the fall of the wall.
It is in a good state of preservation, the bodywork having been restored a few years ago, and the interior is also in good condition, with a few traces of corrosion.
Under the bonnet is a 4-cylinder 2,432 cc engine developing 65 hp, coupled to a 3-speed manual gearbox that enables it to reach 100 km/h| as it has not been used in recent years, it will need to be restarted.
