According to the copy of its build sheet, our car left the factory in early 1928, bound for the workshops of Hooper coachbuilders to become a Sedanca Cabriolet, a very rare and sought-after body!
Our car’s file includes the original 1942 log book, showing that the car was then resident in Bristol, and always had an open body, painted black. The current owner bought the car in 2001 in Leicester.
Work began in 2015: the bodywork was no longer on the car, and the decision was made to create a racing-style body. Prior to that, but given the large number of projects underway, the latter was sidelined.
This is the ideal project for an enthusiast looking to buy a Phantom I that suits his tastes: a return to the original bodywork,
or a continuation as a racing car? The choice is yours...

“Sedanca Cabriolet bodywork originally!”
