Iron frame consisting of a pommel and crescent-shaped guard pieces with wolf's teeth motif.
Straight, double-edged blade.
Riveted silk on pommel.
Fuse mounting nails still present.
Mounted on metal display stand.
Switzerland, Germany. Second half of the 15th century.
Total length: 45.5cm
(Restoration to be noted on the last third of the blade, metal stabilized).
Beautiful excavation piece evocative of lansquenets.
