URNE CINÉRAIRE «AUX ÉPOUX»
Rectangular white marble urn carved in bas-relief: on the two short sides are bust portraits representing the same couple at two different ages of life. Each bust is housed in the opening of a deeply carved semicircular arch, resting on fluted pilasters with suspended oscillums. On the two main sides, the same faces surmount a schematized body curiously reduced to a sheath clamped to a crossbeam.
The sloping lid is adorned with three finely sculpted registers, the flat top of which is hollowed out to accommodate a sculpture that has now disappeared.

- 1st century A.D. (-50 / 50)
