According to its Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, this Mk2 3.8 with manual gearbox was delivered new to the Delecroix dealership in Paris in this rare shade of Opalescent Maroon
In the early 2000s, it was bought by an enthusiast from Normandy who patiently restored it between 2005 and 2008 (invoices on file): the paintwork, upholstery and above all the mechanicals were put through their paces to obtain the ideal Mk2
Today, the bodywork is in a good state of preservation, despite some minor corrosion on a door sill. The upholstery is fine, but a few details need to be worked on, notably the varnish on the woodwork, which seems to have suffered from the Normandy sun
The mechanics are pleasant, and a Jaguar XJ6 power steering system was fitted in 2020, making the car supple to use| a squeak is to be noted in the steering, and a revision of the pedals is to be envisaged
