1960 Jaguar XK150 Cabriolet 3.8
* Swiss registration title / Car temporarily imported, customs duty payable
The ultimate evolution of the XK series, the 150 has more modern lines, similar to those of the MK I and II saloons| available with the new 220 hp 3.8-litre engine, it will be replaced by the Jaguar E-Type
Our XK 150 Cabriolet is in very good condition, having benefited from a full, high-quality restoration before its current owner acquired it in 2004
The midnight blue paintwork is tightly stretched and has a beautiful sheen, with only a few minor defects to be noted| the chrome is also in satisfactory condition, as is the soft top
Inside, the tan upholstery and wood trim are in very good condition, with only the headlining and carpets showing signs of age
The road test proved to be very satisfactory, with the 3.8-litre 6-cylinder engine firing on all cylinders and running perfectly. The gearbox also handles smoothly and without a hitch
The underpinnings are clean and free of corrosion, the chassis and engine identification numbers have been re-stamped, probably during the restoration
