1971 LANCIA Fulvia Sport Zagato « Gr. 4 »
French historic registration title

Introduced at the end of 1965, the Fulvia Sport Zagato, designed by Ercole Spada, was resolutely sporty with its taut lines and pointed radiator grille| while the first series was all aluminium, then with aluminium doors, the second series, like the model that illustrates these pages, had an all-steel body, including the doors
Our example, one of 7,000 Sport Zagato cars produced, was delivered new to Italy in its Rosso San Siro colour, and was prepared in the mid-1990s to take part in historic events
Lightened, equipped with a roll bar, a fibre front bonnet and Gr. 4 wing extensions, this Fulvia Sport also benefited from a fairly extensive engine preparation, which enabled it to shine at Imola, San Remo and the Coupes de Provence, among others.
Arriving in France in the mid-2010s, this Gr. 4-prepared Fulvia has since delighted its owner, a seasoned gentleman driver| sold with its old PTH (issued in 2004, to be renewed), it will be an ideal candidate for taking part in historic races on a reduced budget
Ready to take to the road, it will nevertheless require careful adjustment of the ignition and carburettor to deliver its full power| we also noted a deformed front end and a few defects in the front cradle, probably the result of an old impact to the right front end
