NOTE
The Wu Shuang Pu or "Table of Unsurpassed Heroes" is a collection of woodcuts by the painter Jin
Guliang (1625 - 1695), published in 1694. It contains imaginary portraits of 40 heroes and heroines from the Han to Song dynasties. Each illustration is accompanied by a brief biography and a poem in yuefu style. The book was widely distributed, and its illustrations enjoyed great success, notably as decorations for porcelain in the second half of the Qing dynasty.
