Mid 19th century

Silver ship's chronometer watch. Silver case with numbered bowl, the back is marked "Dépôt de la Marine IC 176". White enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours and minute track, small second hand with single stroke seconds (accidents). Movement full plate with balance spring in the center, adjusting racket with advance and delay, rubies chatons on the bridge of balance, square winding, escapement trigger, scratches in the bowl, probably a restoration "axis of rocket April 15, 1957 Franbouhans Doubs Louis Patois". In a wooden case marked "No. 28 Dépôt Gl de la Marine". Numbered case bears a master stamp "P". The bottom of the case also with a hallmark of master "JP" and identical numbering.
