Donavert [Donauworth] April 17. My cousin, I arrived at Donaverth on the 17th at four o'clock in the morning. The Austrians have made their declaration of war as you have heard, and we are in the midst of maneuvering.
There has been nothing serious done yet on either side. My health is good. Important events will take place soon. The
Tirolians are insurgent"...
Donauworth April 18. "We are in great maneuvers. So far there have been only a few saber shots. The Bavarians have had some light affairs to their advantage"...
Burghausen April 30 [unsigned]. "Everything is going well here and as well as I could wish"...
Enns May 5. "You have been impatient to receive bulletins| but finally you must have received them. Operations are still going on here. Nothing else is new"...
