INFANTRY OFFICER'S SABRE Model 1882. Mounting in maillechort type regulation. Oval cap assembled in the guard. Flat jointing bow pierced for the passage of the lanyard from which three branches of guard are detached.
Curved quillon in the shape of a drop.
Horn spindle with alternating double filigree.
Fine straight blade, double edge and full length groove.
Engraved Manufacture Nationale d'Arme de Châtellereault, March 1919, infantry officer ML1882. Nickel-plated iron scabbard with a single thin strap and nickel-plated iron hanger ring (oxidation).
