Exceptional, fine, original and rare Kachan Dabir (Iran) early twentieth century. Workshop of the Master Dabir. Silky lambswool velvet of quality on cotton foundation. Good general condition. Density of about 8 500 knots per dm2. Carpet with rings on the back (this carpet was hung like a painting). With Cyrillic writings (in the Armenian and Hebrew taste). This carpet was probably an order from Eastern Europe, the Tsar Peter I, the great being represented, surrounded by characters in successions of medallions. Four borders of which the main blue night garlands and bouquets of flowers and stylized foliage in polychrome.
