Rare, original and fine Kuba (Caucasus) late nineteenth century, circa 1870/1880. Wool velvet on wool foundation. Good general condition. Good state of conservation. Nice freshness of colors. Prayer carpet with mihrab and stylized prayer niche on beige field with bayadere decoration: bands and diagonal stripes ruby and midnight blue inlaid with small floral buttons. Triple borders, the main one with original decoration of parrots and stylized hooks in polychrome.
