Late Konagend (Caucasus) end of the 19th century. Wool velvet on wool foundation. Restorations. Small hole. Slight oxidation and natural wear. Beautiful polychromy. Armenian work. Midnight blue field with original decoration of a very large central medallion in the form of Armenian cross formed by two octagonal medallions connected by a central medallion in the form of a square, inlaid with combs, hooks, tarantulas, crabs, knots without ends and floral buttons in polychrome. Five borders of which the main one is brick with hooks and claws of geometrically stylized multicolored crabs.
