MINIATURE PORTRAIT representing Pierre-Louis Prieur (1756-1827), known as the crier of the Marne, revolutionary deputy, faithful of Robespierre. Miniature painted on ivory in a circular brass frame included in a rectangular wooden frame.
Diameter : 6,9 cmDimension (frame) : 17,4 cm x 14,7 cm (cracks in the frame, small punctures in the miniature)
Inscription on paper on the back : " Portrait of my father, when he was in 1791, prosecutor of the commune of Châlons sur Marne, in charge of directing the volunteers going to the camp of Valmy ".
