LARGE CARTEL in marquetry known as "Boulle" of brass on a tortoiseshell background decorated with scrolls, falls and foliage. Gilded and chased bronze dial with the profile of the young king Louis XV as a child and with enamelled cartouches with Roman numerals, one cartouche signed Edmé Baillot in Paris. Rich ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes, decorated with rocaille, friezes, falls and an allegory of the alliance of France and Spain, an allegory of the Renommée above. Movement signed Baillot. Regency period.
