AUTOGRAPHIC MUSICAL MANUSCRIPT, Brumaire (Ouverture pour le drame d'Édouard Noël), 1899| title and 33 folio pages, mounted on tabs and bound in a half red leatherette volume with corners (spine a bit rubbed).
Complete manuscript of this overture transcribed for piano 4 hands.
Édouard NOËL (1850-1926) published in 1899 a Brumaire, Scènes historiques de l'an VIII.
Written in black ink on Lard-Esnault paper (Ed. Bellamy successor) at 20 lines, the manuscript was used for the engraving. It is marked at the head: "Très animé. Violent", and is dated at the end: "Égreville Saturday 2 Sept. 99.
6 h. du matin".
There are many scratches, and a 5 bar collet on page 27. Page 13 is numbered 12 bis.
The title page bears the dedication "to my friend P.E. Chevalier" (nephew and associate of Henri Heugel).
