He deplores the death of Private Marinot, "the first, as you say, of the great number of bitten soldiers we have treated. A few days after his treatment, it seems, he suffered in the arm injured in the corresponding hand. We did not know anything about it. As his death did not come until much later, a new treatment could have been applied to him then and everything leads us to believe that he would have been saved. We have examples of this recovery in similar conditions and with full success"...
