Rare letter from Schiele in need of money.
He still does not know whether he will receive money, and how much, from Goltz [Hans GOLTZ, his art dealer in Munich] or from a gallery owner in Dresden [Emil RICHTER], and therefore worries about the payments he himself must make with this money: "jedenfalls werde ich sobald ich etwas beko[m]me augenblicklich meine Pflicht tun. - Sollte dies aber nicht eintreffen! könnten Sie, selbst nicht für mich dies bezahlen? - wir würden uns schon ausgleichen mit einem kleineren Bild"... [Translation: Whatever happens, I will settle my account as soon as I receive something. - But if it should happen that I don't get anything, couldn't you settle this for me? We could do with a canvas that is not too big. [The expected payment actually arrived the next day, when Schiele received 100 marks from Goltz].
