MODIGLIANI Amedeo (1884-1920).
L.A.S. "Modigliani", November 8, 1916, [to Conrad MORICAND]| half page in-8 on graph paper.
Extremely rare letter, to the astrologer Moricand. [Bohemian aristocrat and Montmartre astrologer, Conrad MORICAND (1887-1954) kept an open table at his Pigalle home, frequented by his writer and painter friends, including Max Jacob, who prefaced his first book]. "8 Nov. 1916.
On the 9th the full moon.
Dearest Astrologer
I write to tell you nothing.
I go on I would go on. I write to write.
Goodbye.
Modigliani."
On the back, Moricand noted the route to Adrienne Monnier's bookstore on Rue de l'Odéon.
