RADIGUET Raymond (1903-1923)
Autograph letter signed, Parc Saint-Maur/Seine, November 15, 1920| 2 pages in-16 in ink on mourning paper, folds and tears.
"Dear Sir,
By a combination of circumstances difficult to believe, only a few days ago I was given the letter you sent me eight months ago.
Some of my friends have spoken to me too kindly of you for me not to send you, with the greatest pleasure, the authorization you are asking me for.
For the two poems you would like to set to music, to accompany
Paul et Virginie, it seems to me that the best thing would be to choose them yourself from among my two choices: Les Joues en feu (published by Renouard) or
Devoirs de vacances which will be published in a few days by La Sirène.
I must, however, warn you that Auric has set Pelouse to music (in
Les Joues en feu) and Déjeuner au soleil, as well as the whole alphabet (in
Devoirs de vacances).
Please accept, dear Sir, my best wishes.
Raymond Radiguet 4 ave. Charles VII, Parc Saint-Maur/Seine"
