Nice letter for the publication of a sonnet in the German review Pan.
[The sonnet A la nue accablante... will appear in facsimile in the April-May 1895 issue of Pan, with an engraving by Fernand Khnopff.] "This little sonnet [...] I had to let it gradually take shape in my vain memory. It is, therefore, almost unpublished". He was delighted that it was published on a page with a drawing by Khnopff: "there is room for a pretty page. It all depends on the art with which the sonnet is placed, well in its blank. I even isolate it by putting epigraphic indications at the top, somewhere, near the illustration and in very small. Let's give up autographs, the verse always wins by being printed - in slightly strong characters or with a defiant appearance: as for the monogram, it is to be seen, according to the whole, if it is to be reproduced or not.
