In the 60's, the Rootes Group runs several car brands, among them Hillman and its popular Minx. In 1961, the Super Minx was released, designed to renew the concept of the Minx, but still on the same Audax platform. Produced from 1961 to 1965, this model will have 4 different series as well as convertible and estate versions.
Our car was launched on October 31, 1962 and has known only two owners since 1978. Today, in a sky blue color with a white roof, it shows a nice patina on the body and on the interior. This car still has its original owner's manual and brochure. Traces of perforating corrosion are to be noted on the body and the chassis. The engine needs to be restarted. This car is an interesting base for restoration.
