One of the successes of the second half of the 50's in Italy is the Fiat 500, a small city car impregnated with Dolce Vita. The city car trend was booming when in 1969, Autobianchi presented its first mass production model, the A112, designed to compete with the Austin Mini Cooper in Italy. The Italian firm would later offer two additional models: the sporty Abarth and the more luxurious E, for Elegante.
The car we are presenting today is an A112 E that was put on the road on August 14, 1979 in Cholet. It has kept its original interior and has been painted a few years ago. The bodywork shows important traces of perforating corrosion in some places. Mechanically, the engine has been recently rebuilt, it starts and the car runs. This little city car can be used as a basis for restoration or as a donor car for a healthier body.
