The Simca Chambord was presented at the 1957 Paris Motor Show. It was the second series of the Vedette launched in 1954. It is characterized by its new grille, its panoramic windscreen and its pointed rear wings with American influences. Mechanically, it is still equipped with the 2351 cc side-valve V8 engine.
The present car was launched on May 20, 1958. The body is painted in a two-tone black and grey color that was redone a few years ago. The interior has a red leatherette upholstery, grey carpets and its original radio. The body and the chassis show some perforating traces of corrosion in some places. The engine underwent a major overhaul before the purchase by its current owner in 2017, it presents itself today in working order. This 50's status car is an interesting restoration base for any model enthusiast.
