The Simca 9 (Aronde) is presented on May 31, 1951 with excessively modern advertising campaigns for the time. On the technical side, the car is equipped with a 1221cc engine from Fiat. Its great originality is to be the first car of the brand to be entirely designed by Simca and it is also the first to receive a monocoque body. In 1959, the Arondes became the P60, the P standing for Personalisation, Simca thus offered the possibility to personalise its car.
The car we are presenting was put on the road on March 3rd 1962. It has been repainted many years ago in a different red colour than its original white colour. As for the interior, it is still in its original configuration. Its beige velvet upholstery is in used condition. Some perforating traces of corrosion are to be noticed on the body and chassis. On the mechanical side, the engine will need to be restarted. This small sedan can be considered as a basis for restoration or as a donor car for another project.
