1957 SIMCA ARONDE 90 R INTENDANTE
Partially original paint
Maintenance booklet
Good restoration basis
French registration
Chassis n° 90R 856033
Sold as is, without technical control
The Simca 9 (Aronde) is presented on May 31, 1951 with excessively modern advertising campaigns for the time. On the technical side, the car is equipped with a 1221cc engine from Fiat. Its great originality is to be the first car of the brand to be entirely designed by Simca and it is also the first to receive a monocoque body. At the end of 1954, a pick-up version called Intendante was available in the catalogue.
The car we are presenting is an Intendante type 90 R. It was purchased on June 7, 1957 by Mr Francis Bel, then a garage owner in Moulins. Its paint is partly original and the garage ad is still present on the rear door. Inside, the dashboard and the blue skai upholstery are also entirely original. The car is accompanied by its service booklet which suggests that the 87,500 km on the odometer correspond to the original mileage. The Flash 1300 engine was rebuilt in 2003 at 73,732 km, but it will have to be restarted. Traces of corrosion can be seen on the body and chassis.
