The Renault 4 is one of the most successful French cars. With more than 8 million units sold, it was used by public services such as the Post Office or even the Gendarmerie, and is still very trendy today thanks to the 4L Trophy rally. Its production will end in 1992 in a Slovenian factory, after 31 years of good and loyal services.
The car we present here is a saloon version, launched on February 6th 1979. The body is in bad shape, it has been repainted many years ago. Some perforating corrosion marks are to be noticed on the body and on the chassis. The original interior is not very well preserved and the upholstery has some tears. From a mechanical point of view, the engine is running. This Renault 4 should be considered as a base for another restoration project.
