The Renault 4 is one of the most successful French cars. With more than 8 million units, it was used by public services like the Post Office or even the Gendarmerie, and is still very trendy today thanks to the 4L Trophy rally. Its production will end in 1992 in a Slovenian factory, after 31 years of good and loyal services.
The model we present here is a van version, put into circulation on April 5th 1979. It is the most common colour combination for this model: white body and black interior. Its odometer now reads 131,177 kilometres. A restoration was started a few years ago but some parts have not been reassembled. Traces of corrosion can be seen on the body and chassis. From a mechanical point of view, the engine starts and the car runs. This F6 van is therefore an interesting restoration project for an enlightened amateur.
