The 1969 Geneva Motor Show saw the stylistic evolution of the Ami 6, the result of Robert Opron's work: the Ami 8. The idea is the same, but some changes are adopted to try to reverse the sales curve, which has been falling for some time. In July 1978, production ended and the Citroën LN and Visa took over the segment.

The Ami 8 we are presenting was launched on 12 June 1969. It has a white paint job associated with an original red interior that shows some tears, especially on the driver's seat. Traces of perforating corrosion can be seen on the bodywork and chassis. Mechanically, the engine will need a reboot as the owner has used it very little since its purchase in 2017. This popular French car will meet the expectations of a collector looking for a restoration project.
